Tavin is 8 and he is so excited to be baptized and to be able to go to Cub Scouts. He is growing up so fast and is still a pleasant young man. He is a sensitive and sweet boy with an easy going personality. I love that he is so caring and sweet. Happy Birthday Tavin! He also wanted an ice cream pie instead of cake and we made a peanut butter, chocolate pie for him. Yummy!! His friends, Aaron and Evan came over to spend the afternoon with him, playing games and having fun!!

Putting up the Christmas Tree

Look how HAPPY everyone is after putting up the tree!!!

The finished product

Finally got the star on top!!!

Trying to get the star on top....

We had a fun family night putting up the tree. Trista has been ready since Thanksgiving to put it up and then when it was put up, she said "It is Christmas, where are the presents?" She got up this morning expecting it to be Christmas and was disappointed to see that there are not any presents under the tree yet!! We showed her on the calendar when Christmas was and what today is, but I don't know if her three year old mind really understands that it is a few weeks away. She is excited and her excitement is contagious. We had a fun experience with Tavin who wanted to put the star on top of the tree. As Robby or Tyler tried to hold him up and toward the tree, he leaned backwards instead of toward the tree. I guess he felt like he was going to fall into the tree, so we finally had him hold onto the ceiling to feel a little more safe and he was able to get the star on. It was a fun evening and everyone seemed to have a good time. Thanks to Allie Sherwood who came over to help us!
