Visiting Mr Gill

Janae' , Robert (Bob), and Teresa

Mr Gill with all our children

Janae' Thompson and I took ten children to visit a very sweet "grandpa" Mr. Robert Gill. We surprised him with a visit the week of Christmas. We sang songs and ate and had a good time.

We had a fabulous Christmas with our family. It is great to watch the excitement of the kids on Christmas morning. We had Christmas morning at home, then went to Rose Bud to visit with Robby's family, and then went to Green Forest to see my family the day after Christmas. We had a wonderful time and are so grateful for each and every member of our families.

Trenton's Birthday ~ December 20th

Trenton turned 11 on December 20th. It is still hard to believe how fast our children our growing!!! We love you and are proud of the young man you are!!

Robby's art projects

Robby was able to paint on Andrew's walls while we were visiting to help him get his room the way he wanted it. I just wanted to share the fun images he now has on his walls!!!

I decided to make a few Christmas gifts this year. I saw a few things and thought "I can make that!" So that is what I did. I made about 20 gifts and ended cutting out close to 100 letters in the process. I was pleased with the results and so I put it all on the table and took a picture to show it all together. A couple of things I took pictures after I put them in place in my neice's(Averie) room. I had fun and hope everyone enjoyed their gifts.

Trenton received his Arrow of Light Award on December 2, 2009. The ceremony was the most amazing thing ever. We are so grateful for all the hard work that Colleen Brock and Joe and Celeste Tribett and many others put into making this a wonderful night for Trenton and all of us to enjoy! Thanks so much!!!! I will let the pictures tell the story of the night, even if they are in the wrong order! Trenton, we are so proud of you for all you hard work in Cub Scouts.

Putting up the Christmas Tree

Look how HAPPY everyone is after putting up the tree!!!

The finished product

Finally got the star on top!!!

Trying to get the star on top....

We had a fun family night putting up the tree. Trista has been ready since Thanksgiving to put it up and then when it was put up, she said "It is Christmas, where are the presents?" She got up this morning expecting it to be Christmas and was disappointed to see that there are not any presents under the tree yet!! We showed her on the calendar when Christmas was and what today is, but I don't know if her three year old mind really understands that it is a few weeks away. She is excited and her excitement is contagious. We had a fun experience with Tavin who wanted to put the star on top of the tree. As Robby or Tyler tried to hold him up and toward the tree, he leaned backwards instead of toward the tree. I guess he felt like he was going to fall into the tree, so we finally had him hold onto the ceiling to feel a little more safe and he was able to get the star on. It was a fun evening and everyone seemed to have a good time. Thanks to Allie Sherwood who came over to help us!
